A list of the rules for perusal.
1. Sets are called very tightly at Marty Gras. no doubles, lifts, carries. Beach sets with only about a rotation allowed, no prolonged contact.
2. No setting a serve
3. No set overs
4. Double contact allowed on first contact. Sets are allowed on first ball over, but must be a very clean set if not a hard driven ball.
5. No open hand dink
6. No directional blocks, breaking of wrists, redirection of ball
7. Block does not count as a hit
8. You are not allowed to touch the net
9. You cannot go on another court. Dead ball
10. Refs are there, but not paid. If you know you did something wrong CALL IT
11. Refs call is final
12. Switching for sun and wind is optional, but if one teams wants it, it must be done.
13. No girl rule
14. Rosters – you must play in pool play to play in playoffs.
15. No cleats – turf shoes only
